LWL-Museum in der Kaiserpfalz -
a museum at the Imperial Palace
Emperor Charlemagne received distinguished guests in the imperial palace. Emperor Henry II also resided here 200 years later.
Today, the LWL Museum in the Imperial Palace is located on the original excarvation site. The archaeological exhibition brings the history of this place back to life with around 500 finds on 750 square meters. Whether in the reconstructed palace or in the medieval spring cellar, you will be transported back in time.
Our guided tours and programs invite you to immerse yourself in history.
